The average mid-sized car generates 1000 pounds of carbon emissions each month--or six tons a year. Through CoolDriver, Green Mountain Power customers can offset those emissions for $6 per month. A small car, which generates an average of 500 pounds of CO2 month, can be offset for $3 per month, and a large SUV that emits 1,333 pounds can be offset for $8 per month.
